There is great authority in the Word of God. It is the standard against which all things are measured. Yet the Word itself is not the heart of God. The heart of God is expressed by His Holy Spirit, for holiness rests in the heart. It is the heart that will withstand a battle, standing firmly on the Word of God. Every test and trial which comes upon Man brings up the dross and leaves the fine metal of the heart purified.

A man without a purified heart will still have the authority of the Word in his heart and mind, but there is an authority to the overcomer that will elude him. For I am waiting for the manifestation of My sons and daughters. There is an agreement of My Word that can only be seen as it is manifested in the hearts of those tried and tested. So I spoke to the church at Laodicea to buy from Me gold tried in the fire, for their hearts could not withstand the trials which were to come upon them without first being purified through their present trials. They had avoided purification and chose not to mortify the flesh, and so were caught naked.

In the warfare against the flesh, the world, and sin there is purpose. A man must not lose sight of My hand resting upon his life. The authority will come to those who will affirm My Word, both spoken and written, through prayer. I wait for the “amen” of My creation, those formed into My image. Amen.
