God’s Promises

Satan accuses God of lying, and doing things from a wrong motive. He does the same with us. God’s promises are to remind us of His true nature, holiness, and that His actions proceed from His nature. We can trust Him. His promises cause us to hope for an ultimate good outcome despite the apparent circumstances. Like Joseph when he was shown his future, the dream was the promised reality that God would one day bring into being. Heaven held it on a highway of holiness, conceived in the mind of God. Joseph’s life intersected God’s highway and heaven was brought to earth. Joseph never stopped believing. Neither should we.
