Justice
1/17/06
Before God reveals His righteous nature, He turns people’s hearts to justice[1] .Justice is a part of His nature, and His holiness proceeds from His justness. His equity is expressed by love and judgment alike. He is all glorious within, and speaks so that we might partake of His glory.
Justice will flow like a river[2].So the temptation set by the enemy is that man can obtain holiness apart from being just. He counterfeits holiness by teaching man to ignore wrong, saying nothing offends. A fruit of this is that the victim is blamed for feeling victimized. If the blood of righteous men slain cries out from the earth [3], is the blood in sin? Even the martyrs who cry out under the altar are not accused of sin, but only told to wait for God’s time of vengeance.
God’s heart weighs matters and does not ignore either sin, or righteous deeds. His heart is in you if you are His. As His Spirit searches His heart, disclosing His nature line upon line to you, so justice will grow in your hearts. Let no angel of light convince you that God’s nature is reflected in ignoring unjust ways lest the man in linen with the inkhorn pass you by[4]. Defend the defenseless and uphold just ways. This reflects God’s nature. Risk looking like a fool and become rich in wisdom, for the silent are only wise in their own eyes.
The gift of Christianity is forgiveness, which is done away with through the vanity of false religions who say there is no sin. They think themselves above offense and the act of pardon seems as a filthy rag to those who ignore all wrong. Never washed of sin themselves, they teach all men everywhere they are clean, and find fault with any who lift their cries in grief, or their voice against injustice. Their smooth ways bring the snare of death for neither have they entered in through the Door, nor do they lead others to the Shepherd.
