The Weight of Glory
7-6-05
The hardships in your life are not to test you, to prove that you are not honestly in love with Me. They are not part of My proof against your humanity, some final statement of your unworthiness to remain in My presence. They are My hand pressing against the metal which has been hardened in the fire. I am testing for the weight of glory.
All that has been in your life has produced the metal. And each fire has hardened it, like steel. I know your past, and all that you have given Me. So I know all that has gone into the making of the metal. I consider how much weight the steel will take, for I know the forces of hell will come against it. I consider whether or not your heart even desires to bear this weight; for, with all I have taken you through, it is still a free-will offering on your part to accept the calling to greater glory. Some never want it. Some want it for their own personal reasons, and so the fire only burns out the dross, and they are not yet hardened into the strength needed to bear the force of being wielded as a sword.
I look at your heart and see strength. I see love. I see holiness. I see the living Christ standing inside of you. You are able to bear the weight. Are you willing?
