Damage-control Police vs Overcomers
6-9-05
We can either be the Damage-Control Police (DCP) or the troops that win the victory. Some men teach us to be DCP; to know the dangers, the consequences (of walking in faith), but not to believe for victory. They have a faint belief of victory in generations gone by. They’ve heard stories of heroes and have an idea of the way things should be and what faith is. And yet they come in and assess and control for the defeat of faith, and for the embarrassment of works gone bad, and they do not go on to win the victories.
When God shows the hand of the enemy to these men, they consider in their mind how to accommodate the enemy. This is DCP. They try to work with satan, as if he has wisdom that they should bow to, and that they need to control things so that they are not ashamed when faith is defeated. But God is looking for a people of faith who will see the hand of the enemy and pray for wisdom; who will bring out their prophetic seers and the sons of Isaacar who will know the times and the seasons; who will pray according to the spirit and not waver.
God is the One who performs all His Word which He speaks by His messengers, the prophets. This is why Jesus is called a thief (Rev 3:3); because He breaks into Man’s houses; what they claim is their own. He takes over, and takes away that which they were supposed to be running on His behalf. It would be very much in His nature to thunderously come and take over a meeting that was polluted with the nature of Man and run it for His own purposes. He will perform the Word on the agreement of only 2 or 3 on the earth who stand in faith. Do not become DCP. The kingdoms of this world will all become the kingdoms of our Lord. The inheritance of the kingdom of God goes to those who overcome. Amen.
