God's seeming lack of intervention

There comes times into our lives when we ask the Lord why such terrible tradgedies occur. After one such prayer time the Lord answered me with a Word of prophecy, and a lesson about the prophet. This is a hard Word, but lines up with scripture both in the Old Testament and the New. Perhaps we like to think of God's benevolence and forget His sense of justice. Yet He loves justice also, and it is His hand that determines the events on this earth. With that said, here is the Word;

God’s seeming lack of intervention
8/11/06 and 8/12

“Man wonders at My lack of intervention when evil is done to My people. Circumstances which could have been stopped or changed are let go to an evil end. Why? Because I have given men a chance to repent and have shown My light through My people on his dirty works, and he has not repented.

Those who are sinned against have prayed, their lives being laid on the altar as a living sacrifice. Therefore I have sent My prophets with My words in their mouths, and men have not repented of their evil. The prophets have stood in the gap for the sinful men. I have sent wise men who eloquently petition for repentance and change, yet these same men who say “amen” to their wise counsel do not change. So I remove My hand which holds back evil, and then I reward each man according to their works (Rev 2:23; also see 2 Thess 2:6,7). When I review the lives of these men with them, each individually, I will show all the words of My faithfulness which I so faithfully sent them through My faithful servants (Ps 89:8). Then they will know that surely at any point they could have stopped the evil which came, and that they are responsible for their own blindness and for stopping up their ears. There will be no blaming of other people, for the courts in heaven look upon the lives lived on earth for their content.

He who thinks evil will eventually do evil. But the righteous will shine like the noon-day Sun. This is why there comes a time when My call goes out to My people to come out of Babylon; it won’t get any better, and judgment is coming. It is a principle of the heavenlies that when evil is unrestrained, it becomes manifest who serves evil and who serves holiness.

Man waits for My intervention so that it may be seen who is of the light and who is of darkness. But I have said that those who honor Me, who tremble at My word, it is they who will discern between evil and good, and between those who serve Me and those who do not (Mal 3:16-18). Man will continue in error and sin, foolishly thinking I would surely stop him if he were out of My will. But in their blindness they will never see. Those who look into the light of My Words and return to dark deeds will not serve Me, neither do they bring Me honor. Therefore I will let their dishonor come to the surface, for it is time to judge the hearts of men, and I will do it.”

“Those who light the fires of their own understanding lie down in torment (Is 50:10,11). Because people think I have changed, because they think no longer does a man reap what he sows, because a man stubbornly goes on in his own way and discerns by his own understanding, he lays down in the darkest sorrow, and gains no wisdom from his actions or his thoughts”.

God’s watchmen have the knowledge of the Lord (Ps 89:7). They have sight. They speak, and warn (see Is 56:10 for the opposite). His watchmen have understanding and walk in His way, seeking the gain of the kingdom.
