Putting God in a Box
6/27/06
Many people know Me by their boxes of rules and their own understanding. To them, I am in their box. But I exert Myself in the lives of those who seek Me, to show them I live outside their box. When I take a man into My confidence to show him that I operate outside the box, it is because our walk together won’t fit inside the box.
One way of getting a seeker to see outside the box of his rules and his own understanding is to allow trials to come into his safe, understandable life. The winds of adversity will blow the walls down, and enlarge his understanding of Me. Some trials take on the nature of breaking the relationships that have been sustaining the faith of the believer. But if the people who form these relationships give counsel from their own hearts, I will put a wedge in between the seeker and his acquaintances. For the sake of the seeker I do this, so that he might learn to come stand in My counsel himself. I covet all who seek and love Me.
I am a God who loves to show Who I am, My heart, My thoughts, My songs and My comfort, to those who seek Me. I am a God Who can be found. Now is that time when I may be found. Understand that the trials may not seem fitting, but that Man was not meant to fit in a box any more than I was.
