The Wedding; 5 bridesmaids not there
8/28/06
I was a wedding planner, and the guests had arrived in the church. There were 200 guests, and 10 bridesmaids. Only 5 showed up. I said “I wonder where the other 5 bridesmaids are?” Another person said “Are you sure 10 isn’t too much?” I assured him/her that there were supposed to be 10. End of dream.
Interpretation – Last night I had prayed for the Lord to show us fresh revelation, and about His will. This dream shows that the time of preparation in which we trim our lamps is drawing to a close. Yesterday the Lord had given me a lesson on how important preparation is, using the parable of the servant who labored in the field, only to come in and prepare supper for the Lord (Lk 17:8). Who is the Lord in this parable? We are the Lord’s body. We are to prepare the feast and feed our brethren. The Lord also said that “because people have so little faith, they do not believe the days draw to a serious conclusion. It is ‘business as usual’. If they knew, they would prepare. Only the Bride makes herself ready (Rev 19:7,8). She accompanies the Lord in His stand against those evil men who make war on Him and His Bride (Rev 19:14; see also Rev 17:14).
