Boundaries

"I put men in their circumstances so that they would find Me (Acts 17:26-27). There is reward in submitting to the limits I place on men’s lives, and in their submission they find that part of the reward is to grow into My nature (see Heb 11:6).

When circumstances are hard, men have the opportunity to learn wisdom. When times are good, they are given people to show benevolence to. When a man grows in knowledge, there are people to teach, and so it goes. Men are formed into my image through submission to the boundaries I place on their lives. If a man wants what I want, he will be glad in My will.

If a man wants what he wants, he will not be glad in My will, for he does not seek to find Me within the boundaries of his life. If he wants Me to give him what he wants, he will be asking Me to be his servant. It is better for a man to learn early to seek Me. What good is a life spent striving after one’s own desires, for what a man esteems good in his own eyes will dry up and blow away. Only what is in My heart will make a man truly rejoice, for I know that man’s life and destiny. It is Mine to give to those who truly seek me. Amen."
