God values His word to us. It is important to Him that He bring His words to pass. He looks for the ways His words can succeed. Promises and prophecies should be taken seriously, for that is how they are given. And God has a plan behind each word He speaks to us.
If we listen for God’s words we will eventually learn about His plan for them in our lives. If we follow His leading we help to bring a greater yield from those words. Like the seed beneath the soil, if the soil is good, the seed will bring a bigger harvest (Mt 13:23). But if we doubt, satan steals the word out of our hearts. Then God has to work with our future, and the future generations of our family to restore faith for what He had spoken. What He wants to do is work with us, building on our faith.
Faith comes by hearing the word of God (Rm 10:17). God does not waste His words or speak aimlessly. He values His thoughts and His words towards us because of the great creative power contained in them. He loves His plans to bring each word to pass in our lives. Today, listen for God’s words to you, and review what has been spoken before. Wait on Him, believing He is true to His word, for surely He will perform all He has spoken. Amen.
