When Jesus opens the 7th seal there is ½ hour of silence in heaven. In the previous lesson this period of silence was likened to a rest, and God enjoys the people that are His. On May 8th, 2005 the Lord gave me two dreams; one about the first trumpet blowing, and the other about the ½ hour of silence. I will relay them here.
In the 1st dream I was in the 2nd heaven with a few others, worshipping the Lord on our instruments. About 40 feet in front of us there appeared a very large seal, which looked like a whale. It opened its mouth in our direction, letting out a barely perceptible horn sound. Then above the seal appeared a shapeless form, the color of dried blood. It reached around the large seal until it engulfed him. That was the end of the first dream.
My husband Dave pointed out that the 7th seal embodies the previous 6 seals and therefore is large enough to be a whale. It also is the beginning of the 7 trumpets, therefore it let out the sound of a horn. When the 1st trumpet sounds there is fire and hail mixed with blood in the sky, hurled down to the earth (Rev 8:7), and that was why the form in the sky was the color of dried blood. In this dream we see that the 7 seals lead us up to the beginning of the 7 trumpets.
In the second dream my husband Dave and I were walking down a hallway in a hospital, talking. My arms were full of the stuff I was taking to work. I had my bear-claw slippers on, but was otherwise appropriately dressed. I entered my work area, looking for the time clock but not finding it. A lady told me to wait in another room where nurses receive report. Dave went to get my shoes for me. The head nurse stood behind a lectern, and on the wall behind her was the top half of a clock. No one else was in the room while we waited. She silently flipped through her notes. This was the end of the second dream.
In our labors for the Lord, we often are “stuffed” with things to do. However, we need to allow preparation time for the weightier things the Lord may have for us . . . things we do not know about. Shoes represent preparation. My slippers (bear-claw) represent hibernation, or sleep. We can be very busy for the Lord and still not be “awake” to what He has for us to do. Jesus told the parable about the ten sleeping virgins. When the cry rang out that the bridegroom was coming, they needed to prepare to meet him (Mt 25:1-13). As we get nearer to Jesus’ coming we also need to prepare. In this dream there was no time clock because this period of time is not calculated as Man’s time, but as God’s time. The ½ hour of silence had begun. Though there will be information to report, it will not be shared during this time.
Let us learn to wait on the Lord, alert and ready. Those who prophecy and receive revelation must be patient, not going ahead of the Lord. Above all, let us enjoy our relationship with Him. Amen.
