The Good Life

It is a good life when we’re thankful for it.  We can get grace from the Lord for our weak times, and give grace to others for theirs.

Our flesh wants us to keep a record of others’ wrongs to use as weapons against them.  This happens when we fail to ask for grace, and when we choose not to forgive. Yet our Lord said we could bind people through unforgiveness, or loose them by forgiving their sins. (Jn 20:23).

One who uses grace finds that it is a weapon against satan’s kingdom, and forgiveness is his ammunition; a thankful heart will cause us to wisely choose them both.

This then is a good life, when one would see himself grow in friendship with the weak, fortified only by the grace God supplies, and thankful for it all.  Amen.
