Renewal movement in the Church of God

This morning I awoke having had a dream from the Lord.  Following is the dream and interpretation;
I was with fellow workers and we were writing at stations in a facility that had just been remodeled. The floors and ½ way up the walls were tiled in small 4” X 4” tiles. We sat in office chairs that had wheels and wrote at stations built into the wall. I was overseeing the other 2 writers.

Then there was a break and the writers left.  I understood that it was time to clean the new tile floors.  A short lady sped down 2 hallways with a mop in each hand.  She cleaned the floors so fast it was amazing, and I told her so.

I looked at the floors of our writing station and saw cracked tiles. The cracks showed that there was an indentation under the tile and the tiles broke under the weight of the office chairs. Also, other tiles were broken in a way that showed there had been an upraised object under the tiles.  I went through the area, counting the broken tiles so that I could report it to the manager. There were 12 broken tiles, and some were crumbling into powder. They could not hold the weight of people sitting in the office chairs or walking over them. End.

Interpretation

Tiles are like the members of the Church, being fitted together to build one priesthood;   “you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” (1 Pet 2:5)

Uneven surface for tiles;  Before tiling, the floor has to be prepared, removing objects and imperfections that would cause the tiles to unevenly handle the weight on them, cracking.   The floor also needs to be leveled so that indentations won’t cause the tiles to sink in and crack under the weight place on top of them.  The Word of God, and Jesus, being the Word of God in the flesh, form the foundation, or floor upon which we build.  The areas where the tiles broke are areas where people have added to or taken away from the Word of God.

Deuteronomy 4:2 “You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take anything from it”(also Deuteronomy 12:32)

"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this Book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this Book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the Book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this Book" (Rev 22:18-19).

The short lady mopping the halls was maintaining and caring for the remodeled tile work, which is the renewal movement in the Church.  But it is white, and it is washed, which causes me to think it is whitewash and is covering imperfections left from those who were meant to prepare the Church to wear white. It would do no good to wash people with the water of the Word (Heb 10:22) if the foundation they are standing on isn’t level.

Paul admonished us to be careful when we build on the foundation of Christ (1 Cor 3:10). The 12 tiles man’s authority. Those who have prepared the foundation for the new white tiles did not fully level the floor correctly.

I want to encourage you to read the scriptures and know the nature of God through Jesus, His Son.  If our foundation is filled with understanding of these things, it will not crack, nor will anything built upon it crumble beneath us.  Amen.
