Word to a minister; incurring a debt to God

Incurring a Debt to God
10/3/05
While on vacation I had a dream concerning you on 9-13-05. It was as follows; we were both on a bus. You were filled with grief and concern, saying “How will all those people know they are headed for judgment?” My thought in the dream was “you tell them”. When I woke I understood the judgment spoken of to be the trial of fire; the works of the believers[1]. Then on 9-19-05 I received the following word of prophecy;

“Tell them that they need to bring their lives to the Word of God, like a person would bring their agenda to a conference table. This offering up of people’s lives[2] is what satan has been trying to prevent. It is an act of faith. If Man believes the Word and lives it, acting it out and implementing God’s will, it defeats satan; for Man has overcome doubt, fear, and evil accusations against God in doing so. These people are dressed in white. Like Abraham, their actions of faith are accounted to them as righteousness, and they are worthy.

A man will fall into debt to God when he delays his obedience. For My will is set on a time line, and goes forward over all the earth regardless of Man’s obedience. This is the time you are living in, and is the reason I am judging the works of Man and his faithfulness to use the talents given to Him. Instead of being accounted or credited with righteousness, those who delay their actions will be given a late charge. I will take what was given them to do and give it to another. Hence the saying “I come as a thief“[3]. Your deeds must be alive. You must obey what you’ve heard. Life is not just about passing every trial. It’s about going on with the Lord, walking with Him in white[4] and doing His works on the earth.”

I believe you will be given much wisdom on how to speak to people about their works. We have come to live in “such a time as this”[5]. God’s Bride is precious to Him, and is prepared not only by who she is, but by what she does. Our works are not to be counted as valid for the works’ sake, but for standing with the Lord in the works each one of us are predestined to walk in[6]. May God bless you as you help His Bride prepare herself. Amen.

falling away

Falling Away
11-11-04
“Do not grieve over those things that fall away, as if they belong in their former state. For this is a time of great shaking, such as never been before[1]. People and ministries will be tried so that that which will remain can stand, and that which is to be built will remain. I am building a temple of lively stones that the next generation’s works will stand on them. There is not a time left for a stone wall that will prevent my people from traveling on the highway of righteousness [2]. By the Words of my mouth I will set some to guard the highway, and others to remove obstacles. It is a work I began for the birth of my new Church [3], and a work necessary to pave the way for a great and everlasting work I do on the earth.

People will go. Ministries will fail. Do not grieve. I have overcome [4] and so will you, if you keep My Words. The man who names the name of the Lord will stand for righteousness, or not stand at all. The woman who teaches holiness will be holy, or she will forsake my ways all together. For this is a time of separation, and a great gift of discernment is given to the body of Christ for this Age [5]. Those who are trustworthy will build up My highway. Those who are vigilant will watch over it, and those who are bold will remove the obstacles so that all My people will travel on it. For many, many, and again I say, many are the people who are coming into the Kingdom of God in this new Age. Do not grieve. Rejoice.” Amen, come Lord Jesus. The Bride and the Spirit say “come”.

pray to be found worthy

Pray to be found worthy
4/15/06
Pray to be found worthy to escape the evil to come (Lk 21:36), and to fulfill your call on the earth (1 Thess 2:12). Many angels are assigned to My faithful ones to keep them safe, yet I cannot assign many angels to those who are not serious about the battle. Those who have good works do well. But no one can bring their works to perfection without My help (2 Thess 1:11).

When you see a man with great works, you see a man who has been found worthy of great help. This is why satan sends little foxes into the vineyards; he wants to distract My great ones by little battles brought on by sin. Your enemy’s objective is to prevent the assignment of more angels by causing you to stain your garment (Jude :23). Surely the weak need My help, but I saw this hour of evil and warned My people to wear their armor so that they could stand. I also said to pray that you would be found worthy. Render your flesh dead, and be faithful to your calling. I Who call you am Faithful and will enable you to complete your race. You are called to worthiness (Rev 3:4). Those who are worthy have exchanged a stained garment for a white robe.

Is it reasonable for My people to acknowledge the presence and harassment of demons around them, yet to not witness the provision of angels assigned to them? I do not speak to glorify angels. I speak to tell you the rules by which this race is won (2 Tim 2:4,5). With each new level of commitment on the part of the believer, more responsibility is given, and more power is supplied. There will be communication from thy Lord, angelic ministration, and personal giftings given to the overcommer. It is imperative that the commitment brings with it obedience from an unwavering heart. And from this heart comes the humble prayer to be found worthy. Even I, Jesus, prayed in reverent fear to My Father, and for this I was heard (Heb 5:7). And My ear is always attentive to your prayers. I live to intercede for you (Heb 7:25) and your completion in Me. Thus saith the Lord.

seasons

Seasons
2/2/06
For a ministry to know what to do, it would be good to know what season the Lord is in. We are to keep in step with Him, and not He with us. His presence is to bring us closer to Him when He draws closer to us. It’s all about Him.

During the time of separation of wheat from tares, it is not a season of out-reach. It is not a season of conversion. It is a season of commitment to the Lord’s values. Those values found in the hearts of man will be manifest. The properties which make wheat into a useable grain will come forth, and those which make a weed lack grain will also come forth. There is no more time to convert the heart from a place where bad seed grows into a heart where good seed grows.

In the time of separating wheat from tares, there are certain properties, or traits which mark the tares. We see them in Rev 21:8 as those people who will not inherit the new heaven and earth. We read about the cowardly and unbelieving, which seem to be attitudes of the heart we identify with from time to time, working these out in the Lord towards the end that we have faith and courage. Then there are murderers, vile people, sexually immoral, and those who practice magic arts. There are idolaters and people who lie. Whether or not we can identify with any of those who do not enter into God’s inheritance, they are people who have not overcome (vs 7). How do people fail to receive their inheritance?

There are many parables in which God’s people are seen to obtain, or fail to obtain their inheritance. In the parable of the 10 virgins, some prepared for the time ahead by taking extra oil. In the parable of the sower and the seeds, some had soil which gave a good harvest, bringing understanding of God’s ways. In the parable of the talents, some made gains through what the Lord gave them, and He even gave them more. In these parables we see that the servants of God sowed into God’s kingdom, or sowed into their flesh. The tragic consequence of sowing into our flesh is that we will not have the singleness of heart, nor the strength of godly character to stand in the day of evil. These people will shrink back (cowardice), make excuses (lie), lack faith (unbelief) . . . little by little the little foxes will spoil their vineyards.

The parable which seems to come to my mind often is the story of the wedding banquet. It is a season some are “in step” with, and others are oblivious to. We read that God’s servants want to serve and obey Him, inviting other friends of God to be nourished and celebrate at His table. But their hearts were full of the busyness of their ministries and life itself. Why didn’t the friends which were invited recognize what season they were in? The parable in Mt 22:5 tells us that each person was busy with “his field . . . his business”. Personal ownership. They were busy with what we know as “mine”. They did not recognize that it was a season for nourishing the Body of Christ. In Lk 14:18-20 the wording indicates that men were buying oxen, or a field, indicating the beginning of new ministry. Or they were marrying, indicating a new partnership. They were busy with business obligations and not willing to enter into a season where Jesus nourishes them.

This is one reason why faith falls short in ministries and people; not being in step with God’s seasons; not abiding in His rest and ceasing from our own labors. Buying and selling, being obligated to ventures outside of God’s seasons, will steal our time of preparation before God’s next season. I believe what causes the greatest heartache in these parables is being left out of what these people thought they would be doing.

Focusing on “mine” causes the heart to grow cold, as my husband Dave pointed out. This brings up the parable in which God’s servants are to care for those under them. Some grew tired and abused their brethren. But those servants who saw God’s seasons cared for those brethren entrusted to them, giving them their portion in due season. The needs of their brethren were their concern. Waiting for what would be “mine” was not.

I believe that this is a season of strengthening what we have, of maintaining what we do, and of serving the brethren. If we obligate ourselves to new projects and do not tend to the needs of the brethren, we are not serving He who entrusted us with all we have. If we are serving our brethren, tending to their woundedness, and bringing nourishment to their lives, He will be pleased. I would like to encourage us all to walk in God’s seasons so that we will be prepared (Rev 19:7).

Why the Prophet is sent

Why the Prophet is sent
10/29/05
This morning I heard the question in my mind “Why the prophet, and not one of our own?” Proceeding is the answer which followed;

As ministries mature, they often develop a code of conduct, or culture. We get to know and love each other, honor and serve one another, and our ministry runs well this way. As relationships deepen, we learn what offends each other, and what gives pleasure, and what helps someone else’s interest to bear fruit. There is a culture of fellowship at this point.

Over time, cultures develop a standard by which to measure their people. Ministries fall into this same pattern if they lose their objective measurement; the Word of God. Now, there are no ministries which would say that they prefer their relationships and culture over the Word of God. But, when these 2 elements abide side-by-side, it is only a matter of time before the Word will exert its lordship, bringing into submission those things which challenge it’s purity. And so the admonition to receive the prophet[1]. The prophet comes, not with the message from his or her own heart, but with a message from God’s heart. He or she brings the Word into the midst of a ministry which is an objective rule of the measurement of the fullness of the stature of Christ; the Word of God[2]. So if the prophet is not saying familiar words, not fitting into the way things are normally done, it can be ascertained that he is not of the culture. For some reason the Lord wanted the ministry to see things differently than they have, for their benefit and edification.

This makes some uneasy. It shakes their boat to have a stranger saying unfamiliar things. But if these things are from God’s heart, they are from God’s Word also, for He has not changed. And what He says, first through one prophet, He often says through others. For this reason we should not confine our knowledge of God to what we have learned in our own ministry, but we should avail ourselves of the opportunity to drink from other’s ministries also.

Lest this make some uncomfortable at being unprotected against error and evil manipulations by other’s ministries[3], let us review again the admonition to receive one another, and thereby receive the Lord, understanding that He works in each part of the body, nourishing the other parts so that we are made into one whole healthy body[4]. Let us learn to trust the Spirit of Truth to bear witness in our spirits of His Words through the mouths of others, for surely it is He who is at work in us to catch every thought and bring it into submission to Christ, the Word[5]. In this is found true submission to Jesus.

The 2-fold Kingdom

2-Fold Kingdom
4/24/06
Jesus talked about the kingdom of God being within us, and on the earth. This may seem confusing until we understand that what God put within us is meant to cover the earth. This principle is seen in John 12:24 where Jesus predicts His own death, being a Seed which falls to the earth to bring many seeds. That Seed is in us, working His kingdom in our hearts (1 Jn 3;9). We are the field of His planting. In 2 Cor 4:7 we are again likened to the earth. We are earthen vessels in which His glory resides.

Jesus likened us to the earth to show us that the kingdom can grow within us if we die. We can lose our lives and let His grow in us. When the seed is allowed to bring forth many seeds, it becomes a harvest above the ground. This demonstrates the kingdom of God working its way out of our hearts and into the world, which is physical. Our own death to self produces Jesus’ kingdom two-fold; He reigns as Lord in our hearts, and He reigns as Lord in our lives.

There are many books and good sermons on the application of God’s word to our hearts, conquering sin and weakness. Is there a correlation concerning the outworking of God’s kingdom from our hearts into the physical world? I believe the correlation is seen, in part, in the book of Revelation. It starts with the need of 7 churches to overcome sin in their hearts and actions. The overcoming is evidence that the saints believe Jesus’ life can live in them, or in the flesh of their earthen vessels and the out-working of the kingdom of God is seen in some important victories. These overcomers defeat satan’s accusations (Rev 12:11), and stand with Jesus when He defeats those kings who have believed satan’s lies (Rev 17:14). Their faith has prevailed, and we see them doing exploits with the King.

Perhaps the biggest trial of our faith is that we struggle to believe that the kingdom of God can live in our hearts, with Jesus as Lord. This is believing Jesus has come in (our) flesh (1 Jn 4:2). Jesus wondered if there would be much faith on the earth when He returned. I believe that some of the faith we could be missing is faith in His ability to reign in our hearts and our lives. Once He does reign, we also need to have faith for those works He will enable us to do. The works establish His kingdom on the earth, and that is our request in the Lord’s prayer.

Jesus is still doing His Father’s business, and that business is with us. It is a big undertaking which He gladly takes. He believes His Father’s plan is good, and even though it’s much too big for us to comprehend, we can place our trust in Him to finish that which He has begun. Amen.

welcoming Jesus' Lordship

Welcoming Jesus’ Lordship
4/14/06
Today while in prayer for God’s healing power to fall, the Lord quickened me to this scripture; “We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign” (Rev 11:17). Softly, sweetly, the Lord said to me “not everyone wants me to take My power and reign”. Many in the church in American, He said, had their own kingdom. He challenged me to tell Him how many I thought would welcome His Lordship. I thought of all the churches and ministries that I admire, and did not know who would resent Him coming in power. Then He answered “Those who are afraid” would not pray for His kingdom to come to earth. They are afraid because He will come to judge the dead, the evil, and His own. “Tell them not to fear. I love them”.

What is the balance, I wondered, between His love, and His judgment? I find an illustration of this balance in the parable of the talents (Lk 19:15-27). One man was set over 10 cities because of his faithfulness. The next man was not cast out. He did not do as much as the first, but he was rewarded with being over 5 cities. God gives each of us a measure of faith according to our calling. If we have a calling to rule over 10 cities and are faithful in the small things, He will promote us to 10 cities. If we have a calling to rule over 5 cities, and are faithful in the small things He gives us to do, He will not be disappointed in us. God did not measure the 2nd man against the first man and chastise him for not doing better. He rewarded him.

It was the 3rd man who was afraid, and didn’t want to do anything with his talent. And this brings me back to whom the Lord said is not praying for His kingdom to come on the earth; those who are afraid. Those who do not think God is fair. Those who set up their own kingdom and do not want Him to rule.

We should fear God, but not for the wrong reasons. He is not arbitrary, or unfair. He actually respects Man, and is consistent and unchanging so that we will get to know Him. God wants to show Himself to Man. He is not hiding. But the 3rd servant thought God was unfair.

If we let Jesus rule over us in our lives by His Spirit, then let us also look forward to His rule in power. He taught us to pray for His kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven. Let us pray this, unafraid. After all, He loves us.

seeing through the eyes of faith 2-17-08

Today my Bible study had a topic that was different than I had ever studied before. The Lord took me to Romans 12 and said that verses there showed us how to think about ourselves. Here is what I saw in verses 3-6:
we’re to think sober-mindedly
according to faith
and see ourselves as containing gifts from God, to be used by faith

I also saw how we are not to think about ourselves
High-minded

All this thinking, good or bad, right or wrong, takes place in our minds. Most of us believe that being “high-minded” means we are being proud. But then, when our enemy wants to stop from serving God, he accuses us of being proud or of serving God from a wrong motive. The Holy Spirit brought a verse to my mind concerning the accusations of our enemy against us. It is 2 Cor 10:3-5. In these verses we learn about the weapons against our enemy. They stop
Arguments against the truth
Pretensions that set themselves up (exalt themselves) against the knowledge of God

In the beginning of this lesson I had learned to look at myself through the eyes of faith, as one who should serve the Lord by using the gifts He has given me. The scriptures later on in Romans 12 bear witness to this truth. Therefore, the accusations that come to my mind, and to all of our minds, that we are being pre-eminent, or proud to use our gifts, are weapons of our enemy. Our weapons are mightier. We can pull down his strongholds by standing on the truth; God wants us to walk in faith and use the gifts He has given us. It is satan’s thoughts that are high-minded, exalting themselves against the knowledge of God and arguing against the truth.

Once we learn how to look at ourselves through the eyes of faith, we can see how the enemy has tried to make us ineffectual in our walk with Jesus. But even recognizing our enemy’s weapons does not mean that we will serve the Lord in our fullest. We have a desire to be safe that can also keep us ineffective in our service to the Lord. Safe from regret, safe from the humility of making mistakes. In the Churches there is a greater emphasis on coming under the leadership of “safe” people and emanating their “safe” ways than ever before. And to coincide with this desire for safety, there is a growing fear of being wrong, and of missing God’s will for our lives.

At the beginning of Roman’s 12 are the famous verses about laying our lives down as a living sacrifice, pleasing and acceptable to God. This is our spiritual sacrifice. If we do not conform to the world or follow its ways, we can become transformed by the renewing of our minds and know God’s will. This is the greatest safety in all our endeavors to being safe; laying down our lives to God while we are alive.

But how do we pull down the fear that would keep us from walking forward in service to God . . . that great fear of humiliation and regret? The Lord had me look at some people who had regrets, and asked me what caused their regrets. Here is what I found:
The man who buried his talent (Mt 25:30)
Without faith (Mt 8:12)
Not wearing the wedding garment (Mt 22:11-14)
Those whom the Lord considers dogs, or who practice magic arts, sexually immoral, idolaters, and everyone that loves and practices falsehood (Rev 22:15)

They weren’t full of regret from serving the Lord and using the gifts He gave them. They had regrets from not serving the Lord, not being ready for Him, and from not obeying Him. Though this is not a complete list, I believe the Lord had me look at these things because the fear of regret and humiliation does not save us from regret or from humiliation. Serving God and combating the false counsel of our accuser saves us from regret and humiliation.

What might be the opposite of regret? Confidence. Hebrews 10:35-39 shows that our confidence will cause us to do God’s will, and we will be rewarded for doing it. God has no pleasure when we shrink back, not walking in faith. I see that it is faith that completes the circle. If we see through the eyes of faith that God’s plan for our lives is to serve with the gifts He gave us, we will be rewarded. And if we have laid our lives down to Him, we will know His will and walk in it. Let us pull down those thoughts that accuse us, that truly exalt themselves against the truth. Then we will be effective in serving the Lord. Amen

standing in the gap

One of the things God hated to do was judge His people, scattering and slaying them. He laid waste His temple and their nation, and said that passersby would wonder at it. Why did He hate doing it? Because, in His anger, He could not show His other attributes; love, patience, kindness, grace. Therefore He always looks for men and women to stand in the gap.

Because God is a just God, He cannot wink at sin forever. When He does not correct man, man forgets justice, and puts evil for good and good for evil. And man hurts and slays his fellow man out of greed and hatred. When judgment comes, justice is established in the land.

Now, it seems an odd thing that the created should force the Creator do something he does not want to do. God, being all powerful, could change us. Indeed, He works all things in our lives to the end that we would be in His image. But, like a good father with his errant child, God knows that it takes more than kindness to train His children in righteousness. And so He corrects all whom He loves in order to receive them. And when His children won’t listen to instruction, nor receive correction, then there is judgment. Because God has put His light for the nations in us, His children, judgment begins at the house of God (1 Peter 4:17). Peter spoke of the coming wrath of God, saying that the earth would be destroyed by fire (2 Peter 3:10,11). He asked his fellow-believers what sort of people they should be, and then answered it by saying “You ought to live holy and godly lives”.
God is appalled when He finds no intercessors (Is 59:16; 63:5). Though His wrath sustained Him during judgment (please see Isaiah 63), He despised the fact that He had no support during the Day of redemption and vengeance (Is 63:4). In this same chapter we then read about God’s kindness and how He had had patience with the Israelites (vs 7 . . . ), and then about their rebellion. The ensuing prayer is for God to return to the zealousness He had for them, His tenderness and compassion (vs 15) for the sake of His inheritance. Perhaps the Lord is saying in times gone by that He would prefer that we interceded with Him to the point that judgment wouldn’t be necessary. We are His body on this earth . . . shouldn’t we also carry His heart of zeal for His people? I think the answer to this question is “yes”. Though God will continue to correct His people, and judgment will come on those who harden their hearts, we can stand with our Lord during intercession, for that is our rightful place. Amen

trial of rejection and waiting 2-16-08

I had a dream today, 2/16/08, that held a valuable lesson, and I’d like to share it with you. In this dream my sister, husband & I knew a Christian couple, and they had an adult daughter and son. The daughter had sent out a letter to my sister, and to my husband & I, asking for prayer for her brother. It seemed that he had written for admittance to a ministry and been turned down twice. It was likened to him waiting for a bride and being told “no, not now.” So his sister wrote because the young man was discouraged, asking us all to pray for him.

As I heard about the 2 letters (I hadn’t read them myself), I came to understand that it was the same trial appointed to all of us; waiting, and rejection. I remembered that there had been other times of silence in the past, such as during the time of the Macabees. It seemed like a period of silence and waiting as in Jesus’ parable where the Master went away and was delayed returning. Yet He entrusted His kingdom to His servants. Surely He wouldn’t to this if they couldn’t faithfully care for His kingdom in His absence. These thoughts were all a part of the understanding the Holy Spirit put in my heart, and then I woke up.

In prayer about this dream, the Holy Spirit continued to speak to me from the parable about the tenants of the vineyard (Mt 21:33-39). When the Master sent His servants to collect the fruit from the tenants who worked the vineyard, the servants were rejected and abused. Knowing that the servants were doing their Master’s will to try to collect the fruit, this response from the tenants must have been discouraging to them. It would be similar to writing for a bride, and being repeatedly rejected. So, we need to encourage and pray for our brothers in Christ during their trials.

In these situations we often wonder why God does not step in and change the hearts of the tenants, or the ministers of churches who hold the talents of the people in their hands. Their controlling manner seems to speak about their desire to build their own kingdom instead of giving God the fruit of His planting. But in this parable the Master did not kick the tenants out until they killed His Son to take the inheritance for themselves. And so, in our lives we find ourselves, at times, sent to a church to minister to them, and being rejected, or accused of wrong-doing. The Lord then sends someone else, and someone after that to see if the one to whom He has rented the vineyard will give Him his fruit. It is not until a church rejects the lordship of the Holy Spirit and blasphemes His words and actions that the Master Himself kicks them out of His church. Some ministers will refuse to be ruled over by the Holy Spirit, and some will yield to Him and give Him His fruits.

The servants who suffer rejection and abuse need encouragement. In Revelation it is stated that this kind of treatment calls for the patient endurance of the saints (Rev 3:10). Later in the day I understood that the sister and brother were my husband and I. I often pray, and ask other to pray for him to be encouraged, and for an open door of ministry for us. Many churches do not receive ministry from people outside their circle, and in the past we have been made to feel as if we were doing something wrong to serve the Lord in a church not our own. If that were not bad enough, we have also been made to feel as if we were doing something wrong when serving in a ministry we did belong to. But then, as servants, what we do for the Lord is not just about us . . . it is about His Kingdom.

not everything that happens is God's will

Not Everything that Happens is God’s Will
4/8/06
Yesterday during a class lecture the Lord began speaking to me about a topic. He began with ”Not everything that happens is My will”. This was spoken in the context of the students who were not able to come to the School. I heard the school leader pray yesterday morning, saying that she believed it was God’s will for each one of the students to come. There was a heaviness because some had missed God’s will for their lives. Yet a guest speaker came later that morning, stating that, for those who had not been able to come, it must have been God’s will for them to not be a part of the school.

I’d like to share with you a few scriptures that came to mind when the Lord began speaking this yesterday. In them I see illustrations supporting what the Lord spoke when He said “Not everything that happens is My will”. The first was Jesus’ admonition to pray for laborers for the harvest (Mt 9:37,38). It is God’s will that there be enough laborers for the harvest, but He doesn’t guarantee there will be enough. He asks us to pray. The second scripture is when Jesus wept over Jerusalem’s desolation because they had rejected Him (Lk 13:34,35). It was God’s will that Jerusalem would be saved, but He didn’t guarantee that they would receive their Savior. And the third scripture is when Jesus was in his hometown. He was amazed at their lack of faith, and could only heal a few people (Mk 6:5,6). In other towns Jesus had healed many, if not all people who came for prayer.

Now I’d like to share the scripture the Lord brought to this matter today. It is spoken against the religious rulers who take things lightly and give poor advice. Jeremiah 8:11 reads “They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. ‘Peace, peace’ they say, when there is no peace”. And Jeremiah 8:22, “Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there: Why then is there no healing for the wound of my people?” The person who says that all things turn out according to God’s plan is offering a false peace, or a balm that will not heal. The school leader was right to pray for understanding about why we lost a battle with these students who could not come to her class. I believe there will be false comforters who will confuse our students and staff with their offerings of false peace, and perhaps there already has been. The bad fruit that comes from accepting false peace is that those persons will be tempted to not seek further for understanding of what happened.

When things go wrong, many people say that the unexpected outcome was God’s plan all along. This misperception of His sovereignty will bear additional bad fruit. Some bad fruit that comes to mind is
God didn’t speak to warn us
God is arbitrary, leading us one way when He knows we should go another way.
We mistrust His voice, thereby not seeking Him for wisdom, and our faith suffers.

In real war, if a battle is lost yet a soldier survives the defeat, he would be intent on finding out how to gain victory during the next battle. The experiences which led to defeat become truthes upon which wisdom is built for his next battle.

I believe that the Lord always has healing balm for His people. In every crisis, disappointment or setback, He is there with truth to bring us understanding (see Jer 30:17 for Israel’s healing). Since wisdom is built on truth, truth is essential when reviewing outcomes. The casualties of spiritual battles would grow, just as in physical battles, if men neglect to build on the truth. It may seem a very small thing to some speakers to comfort people with the concept that every outcome is God’s plan, His will. But the bad fruit will cause eventual defeat.

former and latter rain

Former & Latter Rain
3/18/06
“See how the farmer waits for the land to yield it’s valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains.”[1] The Israelites were taught to pray to God for both the spring and the autumn rains[2], and these rains ensured good growth and a good harvest. We have been praying for the Lord to pour out His Spirit again, as He did in the late 60’s and 70’s. But what I hear the Lord saying is that, after the seed is planted in the earth, it does not rain every day. The seed would rot in the ground and there would be no harvest. Yet His pattern has been to send and early and a late rain, the latter right before harvest.

I also heard the Lord say “think generations”. There were a group of people in which the seed has been sown, some sooner and some latter, which are growing up into a great people of God. Some are leaving the world and their flesh in the dust, pressing in to serve God. Others have the pride of life, the lust of the eye, and the lust of the flesh undealt with. The latter have found doctrines to allow themselves an easy life on the fence between Christ and the world. The former are going from glory to glory.

The first harvest is when God comes for our fruit or righteousness[3]. God has patiently been waiting for a people who would be ready to serve Him in the time of the latter rain. But the second time He puts in the sickle is for a harvest of judgment[4].

Just as there are 2 kinds of Christians represented by seed growing in the ground (those pressing in to serve, and those on the fence, indecisive), there are 2 kinds of rewards. The faithful enter into the joy of the Lord, the wedding feast, the Sabbath rest. I believe this will be a time of great service to the Lord. Why? Because those who do not enter in will be grieved, and left outside with the unbelievers. It seems evident, therefore, that the faithful must have something glorious to participate in, since the unfaithful to be upset about being left out.

I do not know the exact date of the former rain in which I was saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit. Many people differ on how many years it takes to make one generation, and I won’t state a period of years here. But I am led to Psalms 22:30,31; “A seed shall serve Him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. They shall come, and shall declare His righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that He hath done this”. This scripture tells about a people declaring the Lord’s kingdom (vs 28) and they will continue declaring it to a future unborn generation. Some of you have been witnessing for the Lord for over 30 years, and now have grandchildren who are hearing about Him.

I believe the former rain I mentioned has produced a harvest for the Lord. And I believe that the latter rain is soon to come. The dry periods were needed for our maturity, but the latter rain is needed for our final growth. God has waited patiently. Perhaps this is going to be a good year for harvesting the righteousness of Man. Only God knows. Until then, let’s keep praying for the rain. Amen, come Lord Jesus.

marrying strange wives

8/16/05
What is the purpose of keeping yourself pure, unspotted from the world?[1] Why should you hate the garment spotted by the flesh?[2] If you are one-flesh with the one you marry, then spiritually, you are one with those things you hold as true.

In Ezra’s time, men took foreign wives. These defiled their faith. It was a rebellion against my Word to keep themselves separate from foreigners. To be restored to Me, they put away their foreign wives, repenting of their unfaithfulness to Me[3]. This is a type or representation of what I require spiritually. There is a spiritual faithfulness which is compromised when a believer marries themselves to the world[4]. The defilement is evident, for their tree bears bad fruit.

A ministry that marries the world will eventually find itself without the protection of God. Before the work on the wall, the mixed marriages were dissolved. So, before the spiritual protection around a ministry can be restored, the people themselves have to cleanse themselves from their marriage with the world. In clearing yourselves comes a deep desire to have the Word of the Lord guide you, be your lamp, and the strong tower you run to.

You have been severely tested in finances. There is a market-mentality which is popular with many churches, which defiles the Word and robs the cross of its power. This temptation has set its foot in many churches in the form of light, and wisdom. But it is a breach in your wall. For those who market wares from My churches will also traffic in souls[5]. The fruit they seek will be gone, the voice of the Bride and the Bridegroom, and all the splendor of what man has built in My name will sink to the depths of the sea in one day. Why? Because those who follow the practices of the world mistreat the servants of God[6]. Because they wed themselves to carnal thinking, they become offended at the spiritual[7] and leave their ministries unprotected from the enemy’s attacks.

The weapons of your warfare are mighty to the pulling down of strongholds, abolishing every argument which exalts itself against the knowledge of God[8]. The Word of God is a powerful weapon, able to rescue, deliver, and defend.
The Word of God bears witness even in the hearts of those who have strayed, saying “you are right!”[9] It is a powerful two-edged sword. It is by the words of My mouth that I war against those in error so that I might restore them[10]. Separate yourselves unto Me. Write papers of divorcement, undoing those things which the world does to support and promote itself. Let me take you from the confusion of towers of Babel[11] to the sound thinking of My fortress within you. For you are strong. You are rich. You are appointed to a rulership which all Christiandom is seeking; the kingdom of God. Be a leader. Set an example for those who are watching to see. The Bride must prepare herself[12], and then I will come.

wild fruit

Wild Fruit
8/21/05
If we find ourselves wanting things to fail, wanting to move on, this can be from a lust after change, for excitement. Commitment becomes very dull to those who have not laid their lives down in sacrifice. The endurance needed to walk through problems with a person, or a ministry, is not found in the illegitimate sons of the kingdom, those born of the world and the desires of their flesh. These are the ones who go before the Lord, and do not wait on His will. The same spirit prevents us from marriage, and parenting, not wanting to sacrifice our rights or be tied down to commitments. This spirit is of the world.

There is a sister-spirit akin to this. She sabotages those things which displease her in order that they might fail. Her reward is “something new”, and she chases after the new, and the better. Therefore she has no wisdom, because she hates to solve problems that are before her. Unfaithful, and foolish, her lack of commitment causes her faith to grow wild, and without being tamed by brokenness, she does more harm than good. She is like the ostrich, bringing forth her young only to leave their fate to chance[1]. Her glory is in running and she has no wisdom. There is no ownership over her young; therefore they are treated harshly.

Those who love their freedom hate commitment. They are like the wild donkeys who choose wastelands rather than the busyness of the city[2]. How is the strength of the youth useful to Me, if they are not broken? They are like the wild bull. When they find the soil of men’s hearts hard, will they plow it with Me that I might plant the seeds?[3] The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong[4].

God has planted good seed. But if we yield wild grapes, or bad fruit[5], He will not be pleased with the vineyard. God tears down our hedge of protection and the wall the watchmen stood on if we choose to be wild[6]. He will grant us the freedom desired, and take away the pruning and cultivating we so despised so that the cares of the world can grow freely among us[7]. Our lives and the ministry we love will become a wasteland, without the rain of the Holy Spirit.

We are from wild stock, receiving our nourishment from the Olive tree we were grafted in to[8]. We should not be arrogant, for we can be taken out. Our nature is wild. The Olive tree we’re grafted in to is cultivated. The wild love their freedom and do not value the cultivated seed. They will not labor with God, but run ahead, enjoying the swiftness of their race. The prize goes to those who keep His Word, abiding in the vine and taking into themselves the very Life of the vine. If the fruit is good, the Branch is good. Abide in Me, for all goodness comes from My Life. Those who no longer want the confinement of cultivation, nor the pain of pruning will not bear good fruit. Do not look for the fruit of wisdom to come from the branch of rebellion, for the fruit will only be simplemindedness and they cannot help you solve your problems. But to those who keep My Word and endure patiently, I will keep them[9]. For even greater trials are coming, and even bigger problems to solve. Therefore have the wolves come to sow their wild seed in the hearts of Man. Yet I will prevail.

When God fights against us

WHEN GOD FIGHTS AGAINST US
5/30/05
“I do not hate the clay I have made, but bend and shape it, forming it into the design My mind has imagined from the beginning of time. Though Man looks for a pattern, a mold, he will not find one. Instead, he will feel the pressure of My hands, guiding and fashioning his life into one that will hold My glory.
So I resist the proud, knowing it will mar the clay and cause the pot to be unusable. I bend the rebellious, forming a lip where he would make a spout. I hold back the unbelieving, not wanting to fire their clay and set them forever in a form that I do not recognize or receive. I set tight boundaries around the unmerciful and unforgiving, for their nature should yield to My hands, and they will be nothing without the flexibility of My nature, which is born in them. I assess each clump of clay for its use, and set a time when I can begin pouring my glory into its form. These are My thoughts. They are good thoughts. I hold out a future and hope for Man.
Man does not see My hands. Some think they will do what they want when they know when I want it. These men think they will answer to Me when they hear Me call their names. They think they will control their lives until the day I take over that control. The give and take of My hands on their lives seem as intrusions from every side. These people do not see that they are rebellious. They do not see that I oppose them for their own sake. They cannot serve Me as Master until they call Me Lord.
So I come when Man is not ready, in the night like a thief. I do not honor his programs, and do not dance to the melodies of his heart; for he is deceitful, serving himself and calling on My name at the same time. I will fight against him with the sword of My mouth. Why? To win him as my servant. Why? To ask him in to the wedding feast. Why? To bring him into the rest of the Father. Need you ask why? I love My people, and though I know the deceitfulness of the hearts of many, I do not throw them off the potter’s wheel. I apply pressure, I hold My hands steady under the fighting spirit of Man, and I tarry, that they will overcome, and stand in that day that I fire them in my kiln. I have a great glory to pour out on the earth, and then the end.”

The foreigner and the Eunuch

The Foreigner and the Eunuch -Isaiah 56
1/30/06
The Lord speaks about justice at the beginning of this chapter, and focuses on the foreigner and the eunuch. How do these 2 types of people relate to us?
1. Foreigner – not one of our own; someone we have no history with.
2. Eunuch – barren of physical fruit

These types of people are in the midst of our ministries, and at times we even find ourselves to be the newcomer, the one without a history tied to the people and place in which we bind ourselves to the Lord. These people love and obey the Lord, but sometimes fret about rejection and spiritual barrenness. However, God covenants to give them eternal gifts.
1. a memorial – they will make history by bearing everlasting fruit
2. They will be remembered by the name the Lord gives them (as opposed to the name we make for ourselves)
3. They will stand in God’s presence
4. Their prayers will be joyful, and their prayers, worship, and works will be acceptable to God

God does not relax His standard to benevolently accept these social or religious outcasts. This is not a chapter on grace, but on justice.

We find that a contrast to verses 1-8 (acceptable servant) follows in verses 9-12 (unacceptable servant). These ministers of God have lost sight of what is important to God, and they aren’t worried about it! They are;
1. Spiritually bankrupt and unable to perform their function/bear fruit
a. No knowledge, blind, can’t speak
b. Instead of loving to be with God and stand in His presence, they love to day-dream and sleep
c. They have appetites which are unsatisfied, not content in the Lord so they seek their own way, to their own gain
2. Do not make History, but see each day as the same
a. Though their tomorrows may be better, they don’t know how to make them so because they are drunk on the world

What marks a servant of the Lord? All his works are eternal, a part of the continuum called history. Small or large, their works are part of God’s plan. This servant does not concern himself with building in futility, but builds with wisdom. Because he stands in God’s presence, he hears the Word of the Lord. Because He obeys what he learns, what is pleasing and acceptable to God, he learns what God values. A dog does not learn value, though it obeys and is trainable.

One who knows what God values discerns the works of his life, whether they are his own and for his own gain, or are the Lord’s. This man who values God’s heart and mind will find the works appointed for him to do from the foundation of the earth. He will make history with God, and never be forgotten.

We can stay in one place and have history with a people, or we can risk to go where God takes us and make history with Him. The questions are; will we choose to please man so that we can be acceptable to him? Will we follow a way which pleases ourselves so that we can be satisfied with our lives? Or will we stand in God’s presence and be satisfied with His acceptance?

damage-control police

Damage-control Police vs Overcomers
6-9-05
We can either be the Damage-Control Police (DCP) or the troops that win the victory. Some men teach us to be DCP; to know the dangers, the consequences (of walking in faith), but not to believe for victory. They have a faint belief of victory in generations gone by. They’ve heard stories of heroes and have an idea of the way things should be and what faith is. And yet they come in and assess and control for the defeat of faith, and for the embarrassment of works gone bad, and they do not go on to win the victories.

When God shows the hand of the enemy to these men, they consider in their mind how to accommodate the enemy. This is DCP. They try to work with satan, as if he has wisdom that they should bow to, and that they need to control things so that they are not ashamed when faith is defeated. But God is looking for a people of faith who will see the hand of the enemy and pray for wisdom; who will bring out their prophetic seers and the sons of Isaacar who will know the times and the seasons; who will pray according to the spirit and not waver.

God is the One who performs all His Word which He speaks by His messengers, the prophets. This is why Jesus is called a thief (Rev 3:3); because He breaks into Man’s houses; what they claim is their own. He takes over, and takes away that which they were supposed to be running on His behalf. It would be very much in His nature to thunderously come and take over a meeting that was polluted with the nature of Man and run it for His own purposes. He will perform the Word on the agreement of only 2 or 3 on the earth who stand in faith. Do not become DCP. The kingdoms of this world will all become the kingdoms of our Lord. The inheritance of the kingdom of God goes to those who overcome. Amen.

The number of Man: 666

The number of Man; 666
5/6/06

Yesterday during prayer for our ministry the Lord said to me that this is a time when deceiving spirits are trying to court our ministers and leaders. These spirits’ objective is to get God’s leaders to give their authority to the beast. Before I go on, let me give some background on the mark of the beast. We can learn more about who the beast is by studying the number that symbolizes his image.

My husband Dave went into the study of numbers and their symbolism while in the School of Biblical Study. He explains that the number 666 (Rev 13:18) is broken down like this;
6= conformity
60= measure of our image
600 = fullness
666= conformity to the measure of the image of Man in its fullness. The word “Man” comes from the angel’s explanation to John in Rev 13:18.

This mark, 666, is what the beast has to offer Man. We see it in the world through the extremities people go through to win, out-maneuver, and out-smart each other. It is an outward manifestation of the pride of life. But we see it in our churches, not as a spirit of excellence on God’s servants, but as a spirit to excel in one’s own abilities, often called “Humanism”. For a Christian, excelling seems like a good thing when done in service to God. Yet it puts sovereignty in Man’s hands, and takes it out of God’s. Perhaps the sign of the Cross in us (as opposed to 666) is that we point people to Jesus, we lift Him up so that He can draw all men to Himself.

To those who find that their end-goal is success, it will be hard to argue against teachings that promise safety, peace, and numbers in their ministries. I believe this is why the response of some will be “Who can make war against him?” (Rev 13:4). It is hard to argue against the success of a ministry that is measured in the numbers of people it reaches, its financial success, and the amount of good works it accomplishes. But is this measurement what God measures by? Perhaps the leading of the Holy Spirit might interfere with the success of just such a ministry.

We could say that the appeal of Humanism will cause a man to take on the image of 666, but perhaps is even broader than that. The deceiving spirits will cause Man to put confidence in his own wisdom and abilities, and question God’s sovereign power and authority. Humanism will lead to rebellion against God because its root is pride in self. And pride in self is Lucifer’s sin.

The deceitful spirits which court God’s ministers make humanistic teachings look helpful. But once a minister sets aside the simplicity of the gospel of Christ, he begins leading people to put their trust somewhere else.

So, who can make war against this beast? There is One who makes war with every Christian who holds false teachings, and that is Jesus (Rev 2;16). He uses the sword of His mouth, the Spirit and the Word. Why? So that the ministers He so loves and invests Himself in will turn around and point men to Him. Amen. I pray that He will find us so doing when He returns.

Standing in Authority, waging war

Stand in Authority, Wage War
8/31/06
I saw a man on a white horse ride up to me. He handed me a scroll. There was a long line of warriors behind him, maybe 5 abreast in each row. He said they went back into time, into long ago, and had come forward to now. Then I saw him get off his horse. There was a valley full of demons below us. He got out a cross bow and said “All the hordes of hell cannot stand against one in authority”. End of vision.

I believe the scroll is the wisdom and skill written down for us on how to wage war, standing in authority. I prayed to know how to read the scroll. A few days later I was wondering about this vision and the Lord said “Cross-bow”. Then I understood that the weapon was shot from the cross.

deception, and the Lord's victory

Satan’s Deception
11/15/05 dream
Two nights ago the Lord gave me a dream in which I saw that the whole sky was full of the beginnings of spiritual warfare. Dave & I prayed about this, asking the Lord how to prepare. Last night during prayer, the Lord gave me this vision;
I saw calm water, then a black stick went into it. The Lord said “Do you see the black stick?” I said “Yes, Lord. Why is it in the peaceful water?” He said “Satan is calling his monsters from the deep.” I said “How can they be there when the water is so calm?” I saw the monsters, demons of various forms, under the waves. The Lord said “It’s a secret” and I saw the deceit of satan, to trick men into believing in peace when he was bringing war. Then the Lord said “I will expose him” and before the monsters could arise from the deep, the Lord made a mighty wind blow the water away. And this is how He revealed the plan of the enemy.
What a glorious God! To reveal the plans of our enemy so that we would know how to pray! Surely He intends victory for His people. This calls for faith, more faith than before. Yet, our God does not speak of doom without prophesying parting the heavens for His people (Ps 18). He is teaching our hands to war, and we will bring glory to His name through our victories. Amen.

satan's plan to dilute the gospel, take away our testimonies

Satan’s plan to dilute the Gospel
9/8/05
There are some people who, it is enough that they don’t deny My name (Rev 3:8). I’m not counting the souls that they have saved, the prophecies they’ve written, the people they’ve ministered to. It’s not a time of works; it’s a time of intense trial. It’s a time of overwhelming odds, and seemingly late answers to prayer. This is the testing of Job. He was not criticized for how many souls he did not save, how many homeless people he did not feed. What he was commended for was that he did not curse God, he didn’t deny His name. Job maintained God’s character, and what he knew righteousness was. I used this as an opportunity to show him more about My nature, and more about what righteousness is. What I corrected Job for was presumptuous sins. Job presumed to know more about Me than he did know. This is a great temptation when you have delayed answers to prayer. It is tempting to add to the Word of God, or interpret circumstances according to the light of the knowledge you have. But what I’m asking is that you open your mind to gain more and newer knowledge of God.

It is very precious if you give a suffering one a cup of water as they make their journey across this dry and arid land; their trials. I have sent them. Those who withhold spiritual nourishment and refreshment from the suffering will be held accountable because, in My name, they did not see what the need was. But those that see the need and give what is needed, a word of Life, and encouragement, a prophecy, and word of Wisdom, a word of Knowledge, these gifts that can refresh and strengthen, those will have reward. My joy is so full that I will rejoice over them.

You will notice in Revelation that there is no test for not rejoicing in all things. For I know the severity of the evil of Man against My creation. I look on the earth and I see all the destruction and murders. I don’t expect My people to rejoice in this. In all trials you count it joy. That means that you are looking forward to being formed into My image. That does not mean that there is justification for the evil and injustice. The mind of Man tells him, it screams at him “This is wrong” when faced with injustice and cruelty. Therefore don’t think that you have missed passing your test because you’re not happy. You will not find this criticism against Job, nor against the seven churches in Revelation.

If you want to know how I measure your success in your trials, watch how you treat your brethren, and your spouses and your family. For I told you those who are expecting Me, when I am delayed, some of them will drink and beat their fellow servants and withhold their portion at the due season. This is what I’m watching for.

If satan can’t stop a man with affliction, oppression, and all the trials that he plans against My people, then he will try to get them to pollute the pure gospel. How? By adding to the Word of God, and by taking away from it. It’s not that the power of God is absent from this person’s life; it’s that it’s absent from the Word of God that they hold in their heart. Little by little the enemy steals the truth with accusations against God, that He cannot heal, save or deliver, and with accusations against the person, that they have not believed enough, been happy enough, or done enough. But the Word of God is strong. It is a strong tower that will shelter all people. It is a refuge from the lies of Man and satan alike. And by the Word you will foil all his attempts. By faith in the Word of God, in the truth, you will foil all attempts of the enemy.

Satan’s plan is to develop false doctrines and teachings through his lying spirits which have been released into the world, and to dilute the gospel, and even worse yet, to take away the testimony from the saints of God so that at the end of time there will be none who testify that God is big enough; that God is everything He said He was. But I will have a faithful people who overcome satan by the Word of their Testimony. They are appointed to stand in their place and say “Amen.” “I agree that He is Who He said He is.”

Vision of Warriors & Generations

Vision of Warrior & Generations
Vision 7/31/06
I saw Native American warriors with their head-dresses on, and the chief had a long head-dress with his spear in the ground. Then he bent his knee to the Lord. There came a Nordic warrior, a Viking, who stood next to him, and as he bent his knee he threw his stone (which was used in war) onto the ground with a tremendous thud. Others, from other nations of their time period, came and bowed their knees, throwing their ancient weapons (maces, hatchets, spears and swords) into the ground. The ground kept shaking. Angels came from the sky and swooped down in front of this line of warriors, and when they ascended another group of warriors from the next time period began. Again I saw them throw their weapons into the ground, causing a great shaking. The angels came again, and this scene repeated many times. I became aware that the Lord’s voice was speaking, saying “Their blood has gone into the earth, and their voices live on. Although they are dead, the Word of God never dies”. I was seeing some of the cloud of witnesses who had stood, warred, and died for the Faith so that it might come down to us through the generations. Each one left his mark with his weapon, causing the earth to enter into the birth pains which will deliver the sons of God.

Then I saw a man plowing a deep furrow in front of the warriors, as if a line of demarcation. On the other side of the furrow seed was scattered and grew up into a thick harvest of wheat. I was given the understanding that this was to be the harvest of the righteous, and that it had come down to this time for the righteous not only to stand on the Word of God and defend it, but for them to do God’s works of glory. This was the end of the vision.

I want to put this vision in perspective for you by sharing a previous vision about the cloud of witnesses. When Dave & I were in Japan the Lord gave me a vision about the Christians who had died giving their lives for the gospel to come to the Japanese. I saw angels pulling a sack by a golden cord into a room. The sack was full of their souls, weeping and howling. These sounds literally came out my mouth during the vision. The angels were Japanese, but spoke in English, saying that it was now time for salvation to come to Japan. This was the end of the vision.

There appears to be a direct link between the work of the saints in times gone by, and the work appointed to us in this time. They thought the Word of God worth preserving, at the cost of their lives, so that we would carry on the Light to the end of the earth, and to the end of time. Without them, we are not complete.

Since the Lord showed me warriors I believe spiritual warfare is being underlined at this point in our history-making. The compromising spirit of the world will cause people to slumber. Yet the pure Word of God will make them hungry. It seems to be true that if we don’t have anything we believe is worth dieing for, then we will compromise. Yet there is a great inheritance not only appointed to us, but living in us. His riches are waiting to be found out (Eph 1:17-19). The ability to overcome, and to stand in our land of promise comes by His power working in us. He is of great worth, as is all He has for this generation.

I am inspired by these visions and grateful to those who paid such a price for our Faith. Thank you letting me share with you these things which so stir my heart. And God bless you in your faith as you walk out His purposes in your lives.
